🔗 Share this article Vinted Users Voice Frustration Over Size Changes Vinted users have been reacting angrily following a change that caused products showing incorrect sizing. The popular resale platform has updated its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes failing to inform every member regarding the update. Digital Channels Response Countless users and merchants are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification versus the original listing due to the recalibration. The company said the updated approach better aligns with other platforms. They have suggested members to review their products and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, resulting in member annoyance. Sizing System Changes Before the change, the sizing featured one number and one letter, like S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10. For certain items, the measurements have been reclassified - like an L measurement was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. Member Stories One content creator, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. Another user, located in Scotland, stated items she posted with size 14 tags were displaying on the service as size 20–22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they're going to be very disappointed," she said. Required Changes Another shopper, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products". "For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she stated. Service Background The platform boasts over 100 million users, including 18 million in the UK. It has emerged as a preferred choice to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop. This represents another occasion that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: last year, Vinted reversed a change concerning shipment methods after backlash from users.
