Serves 10 servings

For the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)

200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar

To make the Drink (yields 850ml, enough for 10)

Fresh cranberries, to garnish

Directions

To prepare the Cordial: Combine every ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a light boil, mixing to dissolve. Then, take off the burner and leave to reach room temperature fully. Transfer into a sterilised bottle, close it keeping it in the fridge, where it will keep for up to one month.

Preparing the Cocktail Base: Pour all the spirits and syrup into a sizeable container, leave to sit for one hour, then filter it , ideally through a fine cloth, so it's completely strained.

When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of your batch mix into a mixing glass packed with ice, and agitate lightly for one minute until cold. Strain into a cold coupe glass or similar, garnish with some cranberries and complete it by giving it a light spray of the essential oil over the drink.
